Bombanana Switch Module: Light Order, Braille Numbers, ENTER

The rule, as read aloud

Two demo-era playthroughs read the page: “Toggle the switches on and off according to the left-to-right color combination of the lights, and the Braille numbers beneath them, then press ENTER.” The lookup works in two layers: the order of the four light colours selects a rule set, and each rule then tests the Braille number under a switch — Lirik’s Mute Monkey described the tests as “greater than five, less than five, odd or even.”

What each role sees

• Deaf Monkey: four switches in a row, a coloured light above each, an ENTER button.
• Blind Monkey: four toggles; under each is a dot cluster with a number (hover to read). Cannot see which light is which colour.
• Mute Monkey: the page with the colour-order table.

The callout that works

Deaf: “Switches, bottom left. Lights left to right: red, green, blue, yellow.” Blind: “Numbers left to right: eight, six, three, nine.” Mute: finds the red-green-blue-yellow row, applies each test, signals on / off / off / on. Deaf: “One on, two off, three off, four on. Then Enter.” Blind: repeats, flips, presses ENTER.

Leon Walkthrough’s trio recovered a bomb with under 90 seconds left by doing exactly this: “Tell me the Braille number under every light first. Under the red… eight. Under the green… under the blue, three. Under the yellow, nine.”

Why the fourth switch trips people

A Steam suggestions-forum post (in Russian) asks how to pass “the 4th switch, because it is not in the instructions”, and an English thread reports “no light indicated on the LED, so we can’t use the cheat sheet.” In the footage we have, the answer is always the same two checks: the colour order must be read as a whole (a single colour does not pick the row), and every switch has its own number, including the last one. If a light really is unlit, that is a bug to report on the Bug Reports forum, not a rule.

Where it appears

Level 5 of the demo introduced it — Dead Squirrel’s trio was “still on level five” while wrestling with it — and the SW search data shows “bombanana switch module” (3.4K searches in August) as the most searched single module by a wide margin.
