Bombanana Calculation Module: Type First, Then Read Light
The rule, as read aloud
Lefto’s own hotfix note calls this the Calculation Module; players call it the calculator, numpad or math module. The rule read on xQc’s stream: “Enter the result shown on the screen, and press the correct button based on whether the result is odd or even” — with the light colour as the second key, as the Steam forum reply spells out.
Why “nothing happens”
The most common Steam forum question about this module: “My friends give me ‘green light and 56+8=’, I give the even answer, nothing happens.” The answer from another player: “You have to type the answer to the question first, which is 64, and then you get the color of the light and the manual tells you which number to put down.” The light does not exist until the result is entered. Trios that try to skip the arithmetic stall at stage one.
What each role sees
- Deaf Monkey: a small display with an equation (“60 − 27 =”, “50 + 2”, “59 − 16”) and a nine-key pad. After the answer goes in, an LED lights up.
- Blind Monkey: the keys carry Braille, so the pad can be typed by touch; the display is unreadable. Hover the keys if the layout is unfamiliar.
- Mute Monkey: the page, which needs the light colour and odd/even to give the final button.
The callout
Deaf: “Calculator, top middle. Sixty minus twenty-seven.” Anyone who can do arithmetic: “Thirty-three.” Blind: types 33. Deaf: “Light is blue. Thirty-three is odd.” Mute: finds blue / odd, signals the number. Deaf: “Press one.” Blind: “Pressing one.”
KYRSP33DY’s trio ran it exactly this way on launch day: “60 + 22, that is 82. The button lit up blue. One. Can you press one?” — and it cleared.
Where it appears
Level 3 of the demo (the forum thread is literally titled “Level 3 Help”), then combined with wires and the direction pad from level 4. It stays in the 1.0 rotation.
