Bombanana Modules: Every Bomb Module & Manual Rule
Footage and sources reviewed:
Showing all 10
| Module | Type | First seen | What the Deaf Monkey sees | What the Blind Monkey does | Manual rule (quoted only when on screen) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cable Module (Wires) | Defusal | Demo (Jun 2026) | Three to five coloured cables and one active LED light on the panel. | Runs a finger along the cables and cuts one. | "Cut the correct cable based on the number of cables connected to the module, and the color of the active light." |
| Direction Module (D-pad / arrows) | Defusal | Demo | Four arrow buttons around a dot cluster and a coloured light. | Hovers the dots to get the number, then presses one direction button (multi-step on some layouts). | "Press the correct direction button based on the number written in Braille, and the color of the active light." |
| Calculation Module (Calculator / numpad / math module) | Defusal | Demo (level 3) | An equation on a display (for example 60 − 27 =) next to a nine-key keypad; a light appears after the answer is typed. | Types the result on Braille-labelled keys, then presses one more button. | "Enter the result shown on the screen, then press the correct button based on the colour of the light and whether the result is odd or even." |
| Switch Module (Switches / levers / toggle panel) | Defusal | Demo (level 5) | Four switches, four coloured lights above them and an ENTER button. | Flips each switch on or off, feels the Braille number under each, presses ENTER. | "Toggle the switches on and off according to the left-to-right color combination of the lights, and the Braille numbers beneath them, then press ENTER." |
| Color Slider Module (Colour sliders) | Defusal | Full game (seen at level 2) | Four vertical sliders in red, green, yellow and blue. | Pushes each slider up or down. | Not quoted — Observed in KYRSP33DY's Sep 3 playthrough ('for the sliders, the first one is yellow and it goes up'); manual page not shown on camera |
| Symbol Module (Symbol wheel) | Defusal | Full game | A rotating pointer or wheel with four symbols (hourglass and triangle shapes are mentioned) plus coloured buttons. | Rotates the knob until one symbol makes a sound, then presses a coloured button; repeats per stage. | Not quoted — Observed in KYRSP33DY's Sep 3 playthrough ('rotate the thing until it makes a noise'); manual page not shown on camera |
| Piano Module (Piano keys) | Defusal | Full game | A short keyboard with Braille dots on the keys and a coloured light. | Plays a sequence of notes. | Not quoted — Observed in KYRSP33DY's Sep 3 playthrough ('piano with braille in the top right', light colour changes per attempt); manual page not shown on camera |
| Sound Buttons (Soundboard) | Defusal | Full game | Rows of buttons with three coloured lights; only one button plays a sound. | Presses buttons until one sounds, then presses the positions the manual gives. | Not quoted — Observed in KYRSP33DY's Sep 3 playthrough ('the three lights with the sound puzzle'); official name and manual page not confirmed |
| Rising Slider (Chaos) (Chaos slider) | Chaos | Full game (seen at level 4) | A single slider that creeps upward on its own, marked with a yellow warning triangle. | Keeps pulling it back down until the bomb is defused. | Not quoted — Observed in KYRSP33DY's Sep 3 playthrough ('a slider that is actually moving up on its own... the chaos slider') |
| Other CHAOS modules | Chaos | Full game | Lefto lists three CHAOS modules 'designed to keep the Blind Monkey busy'; we have footage of one. | — | Not quoted — Aug 29 launch post; the remaining two not yet seen in footage we could verify |
Lefto's Aug 29 launch post counts 14 new puzzle modules (11 standard + 3 CHAOS). The four demo modules (Cable, Direction, Calculation, Switch) were already in the June build. Only modules we have seen in official screenshots or recorded playthroughs are listed with rules; the 'rule' column is a quote only when the manual page itself was on screen.
Recommended callout for each module
- Cable Module: Cable count → active light colour → cable colours left to right → confirm position before cutting
- Direction Module: Light colour → Braille number from the Blind → one agreed left/right perspective
- Calculation Module: Equation → raw result typed first → light colour → odd or even → final button. The light only appears after the result is entered.
- Switch Module: Full light order first → all four Braille numbers → the manual row for that colour order gives an odd/even or greater/less-than rule per switch
- Color Slider Module: Slider colours left to right → the manual gives up/down per colour
- Symbol Module: Blind rotates until the click → Deaf names the symbol under the pointer → Mute finds the stage row → colour button
- Piano Module: Light colour → Braille number on the keys → note order from the manual. Knowing real piano notes is not required; the keys are numbered.
- Sound Buttons: Find the sounding button → its Braille number and colour → table positions
- Rising Slider (Chaos): Not a puzzle: assign the Blind a rhythm (pull between every module step) so it never tops out
How a module gets solved
Every module needs the same chain. The Deaf Monkey names the module and its position, then says what it shows: the light colour, the count, the equation. The Blind Monkey adds the Braille number by touch. The Mute Monkey finds the matching row in the manual and points, nods or emotes the answer. The Deaf Monkey repeats it out loud, the Blind Monkey repeats it back, and only then does anything get cut or pressed. Skipping the repeat step is how most bombs go off (see the 10 communication tips).
Module guides
- Cable Module guide — the quoted rule, the callout order, the two classic mistakes.
- Direction Module guide — the Braille D-pad and whose left is left.
- Calculation Module guide — type the answer first, then read the light.
- Switch Module guide — light order, four numbers, ENTER.
A blank in the rule column is deliberate. This desk does not reconstruct manual pages from memory; when a playthrough shows the page for Color Slider, Symbol, Piano or the CHAOS modules, the quote is added with its source, the same way the first four were.
