BOMBANANA! is a three-player co-op bomb defusal game by Lefto Studio, published by TARK, released on Steam on September 2, 2026. One monkey is blind, one is deaf and one is mute; each holds a piece of the information needed to defuse the bomb before the timer runs out. It comes from the same team behind Liars Bar and We Are So Cooked, and its Next Fest demo was played by 6 million people.

The official spelling is BOMBANANA! with the exclamation mark, one word. 'Bomb banana', 'boombanana', 'bombana' and 'bom banana' are all common misspellings of the same Steam game (app ID 4656000). There is no separate 'banana bomb' game by Lefto Studio.

It costs $7.99 USD (regional pricing applies) and launched with a 38% discount to $4.95. It is not free: the free Next Fest demo was taken offline on August 20, 2026. Rumours of a $20 price were denied by a Discord moderator on the Steam forum before launch.

Exactly three. The store page says '3-Player Co-op — no more, no less', and the developer confirmed on the Steam forum that everyone needs their own copy of the game. There is no official solo or two-player mode.

Only as the Mute Monkey. The developer FAQ says two of the three roles need a microphone; the Mute Monkey is not allowed to speak, so it needs none.

No. Braille dots appear on several modules, but the Blind Monkey reads them by hovering a finger over the dots and the game shows the number. Streamers who tried to translate real Braille got wrong answers because the game's dot clusters are not standard Braille.

The full game has a 30-level campaign plus Endless and Custom modes. The demo had 7 levels, which is why many players remember 'level 7' as the end.

Not yet. As of September 2026 it is only on Steam for Windows and macOS. The developer FAQ says a console release is planned 'in the near future' with no date, and that mobile and Roblox versions are in development.

Not an official one yet. Lefto Studio says a mobile version is in development. Any 'Bombanana APK' or 'free download' site is not the real game; the team has publicly asked players to report clones and imitations.

The developer FAQ lists Steam Deck as compatible and names Linux among the platforms, but the Steam store page only lists Windows and macOS, and a forum reply says Linux support that worked in the demo was removed. Treat Linux as unconfirmed as of September 3, 2026; Proton is the practical route.

No official PDF exists. The manual is an in-game book that only the Mute Monkey can open, and it is translated into the game's 15 languages. Sites offering a 'complete manual PDF' are reconstructing it from play, not publishing Lefto's file.

Lefto said on August 19 that the demo would return after launch with the same content plus extras; the September 2 FAQ softens that to 'reassess once launch is done'. As of September 3, 2026 the demo is still offline.
